Beulah Alma Harrah Bobbitt Obituary

     RAINELLE -- Beulah Harrah Bobbitt, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, in a Fairlea medical center following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 7, 1907, at Cornstalk, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Hettie Campbell Hutsenpiller Harrah.
Mrs. Bobbitt was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Rainelle, the Bethany Bible Class, Mission Circle No. 2, Pythian Sisters, Rebbeccas, Degree of Honor and the Daughters of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilden Hill Bobbitt; a son, Charles E. Bobbitt Sr.; two grandsons, Robert and Timothy Bobbitt; a great-granddaughter, Mandy Kessler; a son-in-law, William E. Cox; threesisters, Violet Winter, Catherine Kincaid, and Julia Sheppard; a brother, Gilmer Harrah; six halfsisters, BerthaHutsenpiller, Irene White, Marian Harrah, Cora Harrah, Lillian Jefferies, and Ada Wheeler; and seven
halfbrothers, Elmer Hutsenpiller, C.L. Harrah, Walter, Georgie, Howard, Roy, and Ray Harrah. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Blankenship and her husband, Paul, of Rainelle, and Dolores Cox of     Harlem, Ga.; a son, Tom Bobbitt and his wife, Nancy, of Williamstown; a brother, Dr. D.D. Harrah of Detroit, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Val-Gene Bobbitt of Cabin Creek; two granddaughters, Christina Prettyman of Budd Lake, N.J., and Shawn Cooper of Charleston; seven grandsons, Charles Bobbitt Jr. of Scottsdale, Ariz., Larry Bobbitt of Phoenix, Ariz., William "Porky" Cox of Dallas, Texas, Stephen Cox of Harlem, Ga., Paul "Corky" Blankenship of Laurel, Md., Tommy Blankenship of Matthews, N.C., and Dr. T. Dean Bobbitt of New Castle, Del.; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Rainelle, with the Revs. Dana Gatewood and Keith Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Smathers Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.      Arrangements by Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle.
